• Good vibes first. Learning a language is a super stressful process. A very humbling one too! You feel like you've become foolish and your ego takes a hit, so I make it a priority to create a positive atmosphere during our lessons (with sometimes questionable humor). 😅
• Kind honesty. I'll tell you what you do well and what you don't. Straight up. If your goals are unrealistic, I'll let you know. If you're not putting in the agreed work, I'll tell you that too... and if you're exceptional during a lesson, we'll celebrate! 🥳
• Total dedication. I never rest on my laurels and continue to train myself and explore new approaches to offer you the best possible teaching. I'm fully committed to your success, and I hope you'll do the same. 🤝

My Experience

I've been teaching French for 10 years. When I lived in China, I helped hundreds of young Chinese students prepare for their Campus France interview, during which they had to defend their study project and explain their motivations for pursuing their studies in a French-speaking country.

And for over two years now, I've been supporting employees from various departments who need to achieve B or C level in their preparation for the oral interview of the Second Language Evaluation (SLE).

So it's safe to say that preparation (both linguistic and mental) for interviews is my specialty! 😏

What We Work on Together

Over the years, I've accumulated tremendous experience, resources, and skills that allow me to support you today in the three key competencies evaluated by the Public Service Commission, whether you're aiming for BBB, CBC, or even CCC profile.

Reading Comprehension and Written Expression

I created the PrepELS app so you could develop your work and public service-related vocabulary seamlessly, and because I believe it's essential that you're prepared for the exam format and that the timer doesn't scare you. But we can go even further during individual lessons and focus on your persistent difficulties.
As someone who loves my native language, I enjoy explaining how it works, its quirks, and its countless exceptions.

Oral Proficiency Test (Oral Interaction)

Whether you're preparing for B or C level orally, I know how stressful this exam can be. You'll go through all the emotions, a real rollercoaster! But I'll do my best to ensure you're confident in your success. To achieve this, we'll work on structuring your answers, your pronunciation, your vocabulary, through professional topics, opinion questions, role-playing scenarios, etc.
The goal: that you arrive on evaluation day thinking "I'm ready."

How Does It Work?

Classes are 100% online via Google Meet. No need to install anything—I share my screen and we use a collaborative document for notes.

Schedules are flexible, but unless you have a very close deadline, it's better to let your brain get real rest in the evenings and on weekends!

And of course, there's no generic program: everything is tailored to your needs, your current level, and your deadline.
