Frequently Asked Questions

Why use PrepELS?
Our platform is designed to maximize your chances of success. You can practice anywhere, anytime on your phone, computer, or tablet with 5 modes tailored to your needs (timed exam, mistake review, etc.), track your progress with motivating statistics, and show up to SLE written tests with increased confidence thanks to a smooth user experience and modern, effective preparation.
Who is PrepELS for?
PrepELS is for two audiences: Canadian public service employees who want to practice their French (B and C levels) independently for the reading comprehension and/or written expression test, and language schools that want to offer a modern tool to their learners and track their progress.
Where do the questions come from?
You'll find all 880 questions from the Canada School of Public Service manuals shared under the Open Government Licence – Canada.
How does the free trial work?
For individual learners, the free account is unlimited in time but limited in content (35 written expression questions and 10 reading comprehension texts). For schools, we offer a 30-day trial with full access to test the platform with your classes.
